Aladdin | West End Disney musical

Aladdin is my favourite Disney film so my expectations were high, and it did it! The show was filled with costumes that mesmerise, the best sets ever, favourite songs from the film and a slick cast. Along with dancing and of course … the Disney magic!

010-1

The Genie just blew us away!.. after Robin Williams version in the film, it was always going to be a hard act to follow… but he’s brilliant!

005-1

What a show! The standing ovation and cheers from the audience say it all. Just a fantastic treat!

004-2

Favourite moment: In the cave when the genie appears… although the magic carpet scene makes you literally feel like you are in a movie!

011-1

ABOUT THE SHOW (official site)
Disney’s Aladdin has “landed triumphantly in London’s West End” (Daily Telegraph). Featuring all the songs from the Academy Award-winning classic film, this “shining, shimmering spectacle” (Huffington Post) is everything you could wish for and more.
The extraordinary creative team is led by director and choreographer, Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon). Music is by Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast) with lyrics from Howard Ashman (Beauty and the Beast), Tim Rice (The Lion King) and Chad Beguelin (Elf), who also wrote the book.
The lead roles of Aladdin and Jasmine are taken by rising British stars Dean John-Wilson (Here Lies Love) and Jade Ewen (In the Heights). Broadway’s Trevor Dion Nicholas has made his London stage debut as the Genie.
A fabulous cast and orchestra, over 350 magnificent costumes, and breathtaking sets and special effects come together to create the “sheer Genie-us” (Evening Standard) that is Aladdin, an unmissable event in London theatre.
