Somerset House Relaxing Day

Somerset House is a major arts and cultural centre in the heart of London. During summer months 55 fountains dance in the courtyard, and in winter you can skate on London’s favourite ice rink. Somerset House also programmes contemporary art and design exhibitions, free displays, family workshops and guided tours. We are also home to London Fashion Week.

We were welcomed by a very helpful member of staff Kofi (Pronounced like “coffee”:) and this neon red door

After a walk around Somerset we got a bit cold but luckily there are plenty of places to get a cup of tea or a whole meal. We chose this cozy little cafe:

We highly recommend Somerset house to spend a nice winter day with your family or friends. There are also plenty of free Exhibitions and workshops such as Knyttan’s Factory of Future, which offers you to design your own scarf or jumper and watch it coming to life from one of the industrial knitting machines! (Will run until March, 1) Find out more at

Stay tuned for more interesting places and exhibitions in London!
